Design and Technology of Instrumentation

Location: TU Eindhoven

Instrumentation forms the basis for measurements in a broad range of sciences and high-tech industries. Instrumentation extends from MEMS oscillators at a micron scale to density measurements of dredger slurry in pipes of a meter diameter. It ranges in applications from high-tech industrial equipment to the monitoring of neonates in hospital wards. Nowadays such projects are always multi disciplinary.

A proper project approach with careful analysis of the needs is necessary to come to a proper design specifications. At the same time, thorough technical knowledge is required to realize the design specification. Both these aspects are extensively covered in the DTI programme.
