The graduate of the designers program SEB&C is capable to integrate relevant knowledge in a process of Integral Designing to a dedicated, Smart Energy system for the built environment. The graduate will have developed knowledge and skills in the field of Smart Energy Technology, the integrated multidisciplinary design of this technology in the built environment and entrepreneurial skills to introduce and market the related innovative artifacts. These skills give him/her an advantage over MSc graduates and open a broad spectrum of opportunities to:
1 Become a design expert that seeks opportunities for new products, coordinates the design and development of these products amongst various industries so as to achieve the required technological integration and stimulates and/or initiates the successful introduction of these innovations in the market.
2 Start a new business initially with the support from the innovation lab of the university of Eindhoven or completely by their own efforts.
Trainees will have a high visibility for industry and this will enhance their career opportunities.
Based on his specialty, he can contribute to the development of:
• intelligent and energy efficient building components, and/or
• building concepts aimed at the intelligent use of as less as possible energy, and/or
• intelligent networks aimed at the alignment of supply and demand of energy.
The context in which he can work:
• is international;
• covers several scenarios;
• consists of multidisciplinary teams; and
• concerns the concept stage of the design.
