Science Communication track
The Science Communication track starts with general modules on subjects such as knowledge transfer, science journalism, designing communication products and social science research methodology. The programme then focuses on science communication based on a firm theoretical foundation. Areas such as mass communication, communication strategy & policy, crisis and risk communication, science marketing, and science communication research are addressed in detail. Of course, relevant practical skills are also included. An internship at a (high-tech) industrial organisation or communication company integrates theory and practice. As a final demonstration of their capabilities to integrate science and technology with communication, students write a thesis.
